I have my first phone interview for Microsoft SWE new grad coming up and I’m wondering what to expect? Are there behavioral questions to watch out for too? Thank you!!
They will likely ask a few behavioral questions such as what the most challenging project you’ve worked on or give me a time when you had to work with someone difficult on a team.
They also like to ask about Microsoft products that you use and how to improve them, why you want to join Microsoft etc. Conceptual questions such as explain to a child what deep learning or multi-threading is comes up a lot. Qualities that good programmers should have. Finally, a question or two on algorithms or a brainteaser type problem.
