what sort of signing bonus should i expect if i get an offer for first year analyst from an investment bank (in S&T)? how does that compare to prop shops like jane street/IMC…?
I’d expect 10-15k for first year analyst at an IB, maybe a bit higher, 25-35k, as a first year quant/strats. Prop shops can go up too 50k and even more sometimes. I know guys at places like Citadel who got 70 or 75k.
Wow I didn’t know the difference could be that large. Is there room for negotiation with companies?
