Just did the tech screen on Karat for Robinhood’s SWE and wanted to share in case it would help anyone else who is applying or thinking about it.
30 min system design: 3 designs that ask for what potential problems exist, one of them asks about consistency. They’ll ask you lots of follow up questions.
30 min coding: bunch of course dependency and asked to return the mid point. The problem wasn’t hard but I didn’t have enough time for follow up questions.
I hear that if you don’t do it bug-free with enough time for follow up, you won’t get a call back. So I’m sure I won’t be moving on lol
