I’m in the process of interviewing but I’m worried this will happen. Has this been the case for anyone?
It happened to me although when I asked for a reason, the recruiter was a little cagey and didn’t seem to want to be direct about the reason for the hiring freeze. I was interviewing for data science btw
I am not sure how related is this to the stock’s massive drop, and the difficult outlook Meta has. Some people told me that this hiring freeze only impacts junior data scientists in North America, but who knows
I had a friend who got ghosted by the recruiter after the price drop (she was interviewing for swe intern). Perhaps it iss mostly a junior thing?
