I am torn between the two in terms of my future career. I’m not really concerned with is more interesting and stimulating work (neither probably) but which is more prestigious and pays better in the short term? Ultimately my goal is to leave finance but I want to make a lot of money when I can and hopefully pivot later. Which would give me better exit ops?
I think max comp for longer time horizon is higher for markets but short term is higher for IB. Also depends on what you do in markets.
