Career advice prop trading vs S&T at BB

I’m still in university and considering my career options in finance. I’m considering between prop trading and trading at BB. From what I know prop trading would give me a higher comp and is more technically demanding but a BB would give me a better forward. My questions are the following:

  1. What are the concrete comp differences long-term?
  2. Which offers slightly more stability in the short run?
  3. What kinds of exit opportunities/career transitions do each offer?

Just trying to get a better sense of the two paths.

There’s a lot of variation between S&T desks though, some may be a lot more intense than others
