Bonuses this year at banks - do things look good?

Trying to find an internship this year has been hell and I honestly don’t know how much of that has to do with COVID. However, it seems like most large banks have had great years despite the pandemic, does that mean bonuses are going to be great? I know bonus season is right around the corner, when do they usually announce? And how does it work exactly?

Citi and MS just had their bonus day and apparently it wasn’t as high as expected. Same expectations for JPM and other banks next week I believe

Bonuses are usually announce the day after earnings. JPM is likely going to see an increase in bonus for IB but it may not be the case for others. That being said, they are still expected to increase a bit just not as high as expected (>20%).
