got an invitation from HR to apply to this position but I’m not that familiar with Apple’s hiring process for this role. Anyone have any experience with this? what are the interviews and onsite like?
Hi there. This position usually just has a first round phone interview (with a possible second) and then an onsite. The phone interview(s) is a coding assessment (think leetcode medium perhaps) and may ask also about simple ML concepts. The onsite is 5-6 rounds of technical interviews regarding various ML algorithms and concepts. If you don’t come from a stats background or major, I would highly recommend spending some time reviewing things like regression, classification, clustering, random forest, deep learning, etc. You will be expected to know at least the basic math behind each concept as well.
