I’m interviewing for data science roles right now and I’m struggling to fully understand A/B testing under different scenarios, especially concepts like power, beta etc. I haven’t really taken a stats class so I think I need helpful resources that are geared towards people without a strong technical background. If anyone has any suggestions it would be greatly appreciated!
Hello! There are actually a lot of great resources out there that you could find helpful. Here are just a few examples that could be a good starting point:
- Trustworthy Online Controlled Experiments by Ron Kohavi, Diane Tang, Ya Xu
- Data Interview Pro’s youtube channel.
- A few towardsdatascience articles that contain useful tips and information regarding a/b testing:

They all tend to be geared towards people without a highly technical background or with a lot of stats experience. Hope this helps, let me know if you need more resources!
