How to get better at behavioral/soft skills as an awkward stereotype

I’ve been interviewing a bit and I’ve been struggling to converse with interviewers in a way that feels natural and relaxed. Most of the time I’m really uncomfortable and I don’t know what to say. I don’t really hang out with a lot of people and I don’t have that many interesting hobbies so I’m wondering if there’s any hope for me to get better at this stuff. Everyone tells me how important soft skills are too when it comes to getting internships and doing your job. However I just don’t know how one can improve these skills. Another thing is that for me getting good grades, doing Leetcode, working on projects, applying etc. takes up all my time. How do people have all this time to socialize…?

Do I just have to force myself to talk to more people? Or are there other ways to approach this?

spend less time online, join some clubs/student orgs, go on dating apps lol

trying to make new friends, talk to people in class and even just strangers like the barista or the person next to you in line etc. really helped me get better at just being someone others would want to work with haha
